About

In February 2020 Brooke Bentham released her debut album Everyday Nothing, an album largely about navigating the strangeness of writing music full time, searching for the creativity in endless, aimless days.

The irony of releasing an album about doing nothing every day in early 2020 was unexpected but Everyday Nothing was a success. It received an AIM ‘Independent Album of the Year’ award nomination as well as features from The Guardian ‘One To Watch’, Sunday Times ‘Breaking Act’, NME, The Line of Best Fit ‘On The Rise’, ELLE and more as well as rave reviews including 7.2 Pitchfork, 8.5/10 The Line of Best Fit, 4/5 NME and more.

The Caring EP is Brooke Bentham easing back into music, a collection of songs that find the joy in music-making without overthinking, and a purging of the anxieties that come with a life held in limbo for too long. “It’s about asking questions you’ll never really know the answer to” she says, “seeking comfort for something that is going to be with you for the rest of your life, the unknown”.
